Beginner's questions
Hello again
I have some questions :
A) How much was your character's AC and HP at the starting of the RttToEE campaign ? ( I have five 4L char. )
B) What is your opinion about the use of the Mage Armor spell ?

.. kinda odd questions but whatever..

Depends on the character classes
"B) What is your opinion about the use of the Mage Armor spell ?"
It's balanced and a good choice for mages and can save their hides at low (and well high as well) levels

HP & AC
well my group is 6th level these days, and they have AC's in the 17-18 range. The wizard uses Mage armor exclusively, and i frequently catch him with it down. They favor the light armor types - i think the heaviest they have is +1 breastplate, and maybe +1 chain.
As far as the HP goes, i gave them each max at first, and best of 2 rolls thereafter. Not to mention they all have good constitution - i think the Barbarian has around 60 hp. Lets just say I dont bat an eye when I inflict 25 points of damage.

Re: HP & AC
Another one ( Sorry but I'm in the beginning as DM )
So , how do you calculate and tracing the time that has past when the players exploring a dungeon , resting or they doing a battle ?

Personally, I think an arcane spellcaster is better off with the Shield spell: +7 cover bonus to AC that will stack with any Bracers of Armour s/he may get later on.
I think I'd really only use Mage Armour on a monk, seeing as how they get into hand to hand battles a lot more readily.

Um, in exploration mode, I track time by ten minute increments (the old D&D "turn" that doesn't seem to be current any more) and basically make guesstimates as I go. It's always seemed close enough. Although I should start talking about hunger more as they approach mealtimes...
With battles, I basically mark off the rounds on a piece of paper. I do run into trouble with the duration of spells that might expire during the battle, though. I should start writing down what round they'll expire in...

Re: HP & AC
I only keep time (or rather, I tell my players to keep time) when it's important. Otherwise, if my players say that the PCs rest for 8 hours, 8 hours pass, and we move on.
