mapping
My players are fighting their way through the CRM. They have not been mapping. Now that they've taken down one temple, two entrances and a bridge complex they'd like to see "where they've been." Is there an easy way to map out specific rooms and corridors without drawing it all? I DO have a scanner but the thought of scanning it all in and then editing out the rooms they've missed seems tedious. Any suggestions? Is there an easy way to do this with a scanner?

Re: mapping
Yes. Sit back with your map, describe in rough the rooms they pass through, and have them tell you which doors they take, turns they follow, etc.
They didnt' make a map, they don't have a map...it's that simple. Let them rough sketch one from your descriptions if they feel the need.

Re: mapping
I did it with scanning. Especially in the Crater Ridge Mines.
Then I edited away, what they don't know.
It's not that much work - looks like more work than it actually is.
I would give you my images, but they are very very large.
I actually enjoyed creating the maps - while doing this I checked the undiscovered rooms once more (preperation for the next session) and created tactics for near creatures.

Re: thanks
I used photoshop to do it.
scanned the maps.
placed them on the minimap (enlarged).
then I had one huge map (about 100MB)
from then on, I took out the erazer and removed all they do not know yet. The only time, where it was hard was when there was a secret door which I had to remove without them noticing or a hallway underneath their tunnel...
rest was quite simple...
