Minis Revisited . . .
I'm making my Christmas list, and I thought I'd put some minis on the list to complement my selection for my upcoming P'n'P game. I'm finding stuff that I THINK looks right, but I don't have my book with me and I need to get it done today. If I post some links to some minis, could some of you more experienced guys let me know if they work, or where you would use them? I have a really hard time making decisions when it comes to gift lists.

The first one I though would work for a cleric of Tharizdun, but I don't know if any of them use a big 'ol sword.

I have to plug my favorite counters here. While they aren't minis (that you'd probably want to use for BBEGs), they do spruce up the fodder.

These are full color plastic counters. They are durable and dirt cheap. Two thumbs up!

Festrath carries a curved short sword. If you need descriptions of the NPCs (plus my recommendations for minis), take a look here:

Thanks, Chartam. I KNEW this had been discussed to death in the past, but I couldn't remember when.

Does anyone know if there is a web site for the 'Official' miniature made by WotC? I've seen their Chainmail site, but I'm looking for the D&D minis . . .

Again, check out the "Minibase" I built at www.josephwu.com/dnd/minibase/

Unfortunately, the WotC (pre-Chainmail) minis selecition is not complete. I'd love to get the rest of them, too.

Thanks for the link. I'd forgotten about it.

No problem. Just a note that the RttToEE mini list now covers up to the Outer Fane. There are many gaps, of course, so any suggestions are welcome.

Chartam,
I like the work you've done on the minis.
I recently picked up the War Ape as well and want to change those spiked metal "gloves" on his hand to real hands. I'm thinking of cutting whats there about where the wrist would be and then adding hands from a different mini that are about the right size. Any recomendations on how to do this? Things that might be helpful or easily overlooked??

Thanks,
Tribal (who is just starting to get into Mini painting and such)

Thanks, Tribal28.

I've not really done much in the way of mini mods, but the basic techniques are described here:
