Re: E^2: CRM K-L
This finishes off my pass through the CRM. The first one is from Map K, and the rest are for L. c&p are between the ==== markers.
----
p. 93 (C190) -- Suggested clarification for Gouquog's errata:
====
p. 93 (C190) -- The main text says that Guoquog has a bow. Give her a masterwork longbow and 20 masterwork arrows. Also, she is listed as Ftr 3 in the main text, but is clearly statted out as a Ftr 4 (especially with Weapon Specialization) in the appendix, although her hp are rather low (average for 3d8+3 plus 4d10+4 is 43). Her Hide is correctly statted as +6, not +3 as listed in the main text. With her at CR 8, the encounter is EL8, not EL7.
Finally, her attack listing should be (BAB +7 Str +6 WF +1 Size -1 =) +13 /+13 melee (1d4+8, 2 claws) or +9/+4 ranged (1d8/x3, masterwork longbow and masterwork arrows), and her SR should be 14, not 15 (unless you want her SR to improve with her character classes).
====
----
p. 102 (C220) -- Snearak's skills are fine in the text, but the Hide doesn't have his armor penalties added in. With his increased Int of 11 over a base trog's 8, he has one more point to spend on his trog skills, which he put into Hide (thus the +7 in the stat block vs. +6 of base trog). He then gets 2x5=10 points as Clr 5 and has 5 ranks in Concentration and Knowledge (religion). Suggested E^2:
====
p. 102 (C220) -- Snearak's Insanity score of 2 has not been factored into his Will save. With an effective Wisdom of 13, it should be Will +5. His Hide modifier does not include his armor penalty. It should be Hide -1.
====
----
p. 103 (C223) -- Uskatoth's skills are fine in the text. He has an increased Int of 12 over a base trog's 8, giving him 2 extra racial skill points to spend. He's got one extra rank in Hide and Listen as a result. His Dex modifier is also 2 higher than a base trog, bumping his Hide up to +9 before the armor. He has 6x3=18 points as Clr 6 (w/ Int 12) and has 6 ranks in Concentration, Knowledge (religion), and Spellcraft.
Suggestion: delete the skill errata and merge the Will correction into the next errata about his spells & CR.
----
p. 104 (C226) -- Miikolak has a ring of climbing, not a rope (current errata). This item confers a constant +10 bonus to Climb checks, which should put her at +5 after the armor penalty.
Her skills are nearly correct in the text except that her chitin armor was not given its masterwork bonus for the Hide and Climb skill checks. She has an increased Int of 10 over a base trog's 8, giving her 1 extra racial skill point that she sunk into Hide. Her Dex mod is one higher than the base trog as well, upping her Hide modifier to +8 before the armor. She has 5x2=10 points as a Clr 5. She split them evenly between Concentration and Knowledge (religion), with 5 ranks each. Suggested E^2:
====
p. 104 (C226) -- Miikolak's chitin full plate has an armor check penalty of -5 not -6. Her skills should be adjusted to: Climb +5 and Hide +3*.

I could, but guess what goggle-wearing Shrek imitator hasn't been
errata'd - until now...
All the other errata (^2 and otherwise) have been entered. Gret work. I'm at it with the recovered temple. Lotsa errers there (god, I'm anal)!

Re: Wormspike
Hey, Siobharek. Didn't see your post before I started on Recovered Temple Errata. Please check my work so far...
p. 184 - Ogre Elite Guards - For ranged attack, remove 2nd attack at +2. Throwing a Huge shortspear is a full-round action.
p. 138 (RT2) (184 Apx 3) - Trond
Atk +14/+9 (2d6+7/19-20, Huge Heavy Flail)
Atk +9 ranged (2d6+4/x3, Huge shortspear)
Rage - hp 110
Atk +16/+11 (2d6+10/19-20, Huge Heavy Flail)
Atk +9 ranged (2d6+6, Huge shortspear)
p. 141 (RT10) (184 Apx 3) - Dein
In the text, he has a Greatsword. His statblock has a Greatclub, which fits his stats more closely. His crit should be only on a 20, though.
p. 141 (RT15) (186 Apx 3) - Smigmal Redhand
With an Int of 10, Smigmal is unable to cast spells. Likewise, she can't actually use her scrolls.
p. 141 (RT15) (185 Apx 3) - Dugart should have a Fort save of +14 without Endurance, and +15 with Endurance.
I haven't gotten to the rest yet. However, the Second is described in the text as having a ring of minor elemental resistance, but in its stat block it has a Ring of Elemental Command (Fire). Which is the difference between a 16k item and a 200k item. I'd vote for the minor resistance ring.

Fanes...
I skimmed through the Fanes errata and didn't find anything to tweak. The only thing I'd change is the question about Dirass's racial bonus (bullet point #6). The bonus does stack with his cloak. It has a named type of racial and so stacks with everything else.
Sidenote: Dirass has an arcane scroll of stilled and silent magic missile. Anyone else find this an odd beast? How is it actually activated? Just a mental twinge?
SIERK, those changes all look good to me. I'd put in a suggestion to up Smigmal's Int to 14 so she can cast off her list and her scrolls. Monte put all that work in there--might as well use it

Re: Fanes...
Smigmal's definitely getting her Int upped. We'll just hjave to work out her skills, then.
There are more problems with Trond - His hit points are off, and IIRC his attack bonuses aren't right either. Furthermore, the ogre elites' hit points are about 20 below average. But I'll get to it once I've finished writing up the Recovered Temple.

Re: Geynor Ton
The errata for Geynor Ton is incorrect (I believe).
From the Errata Thread:
p. 24 (M32A) -- Geynor Ton is not using all his skill points. He gets 10 by 2nd level (1st level = (2 (1st level) - 1 (Int)) * 4 = 4 + 4 for being human = 8 + (2 (2nd level) - 1 (Int)) = 9 + 1 for race = 10. His Concentration only costs 5 ranks and his Spot and Listen don't cost anything (4 each is covered by his +2 wisdom for 14 and +2 for alertness). That leaves 5 ranks.
Corrected:
Geynor Ton is gets 10 skill points by 2nd level (1st level = (2 (1st level) - 1 (Int)) * 4 = 4 + 4 for being human = 8 + (2 (2nd level) - 1 (Int)) = 9 + 1 for race = 10. His Concentration only costs 5 ranks, leaving 5 points. His Spot and Listen cost 2 each (as cross-classed skills) (+2 wisdom for 14 and +2 for alertness and -1 for insanity for a base of +3). This leaves 1 point left. The appendix would suggest that the last point goes into Spellcraft, since Spellcraft is not modified, and his Spellcraft value would be -1 (from Int) otherwise.

Re: Geynor Ton
The Insanity for Geynor is only 1, which drops his Wis from 15 to 14, leaving the +2 Wis bonus for his skill checks. So his Spot and Listen are both +4 total, so I think that errata is still valid.

Re: Geynor Ton
p. 142 (RT16) - Falrinth is listed in the text as having a maximized lightning bolt. He doesn't have that feat, and his stat block has a Quickened Lightning Bolt instead.
p. 149 (RT30) - The Second should have a Fort save of +14 and a Will save of +17.

Re: Geynor Ton
Siob: Map L, Miikolak errata still has rope of climing in there. It's just a ring. I'd suggest just this text: "Miikolak's chitin full plate has an armor check penalty of -5 not -6. Her skills should be adjusted to: Climb +5 and Hide +3*."

Re: Geynor Ton
Yes. The text almost has it right (+4) except that the armor is taking off one too many: +10 (ring) -5 (armor) = +5. She has no ranks or Str bonus. That's why I reduced the errata to just the part about the armor bonus--it's already very close.

Troglodyte Warriors
Haven't seen this one yet...
p. 170: Troglodyte Warriors stats
"Atk +3 melee (1D8/x3, longspear) and +0 melee (1d4, bite)"
The longspear's a reach weapon, bite isn't.

Re: Troglodyte Warriors
I think that's technically OK since I don't think you have to direct the attacks against the same foe. If you have one 10 ft away and one 5 ft away, they get both attacks. It is a rather special situation, though.

Re: Troglodyte Warriors
The Elf War1 stablock gives them +3 damage on the longsword. This is fine assuming they are using them two-handed (with a Str 15, they get only +2). Virith should probably also use it two-handed, so his strength bonus should be +4 (Str 16). I think this was Monte's intent. So, remove that part in his errata, as I was in error earlier.

Recovered Temple Errata
RT2 -- Trond’s Atk bonus is wrong: base +3, Bbn6 +6, Str +4, WF +1, Magic +1. He only gets 110 hp when raging, and he does 2d6+10 damage with his flail.
RT 2 + 3 -- There is a mix-up of the two. The text for area no. 2 refers to the layout for no. 3 and vice versa.
Furthermore, the ogre warriors are listed as having full plate armour. The appendix says half-plate, which corresponds with their AC and the amount of treasure they should have.
RT 4 -- According to the descriptive text (and the treasure in the original module), there are only 6 100-gp gems.
RT 23 -- The elite ogres' hit points are terribly low. Their HD are 4d8+8 + 6d10+12 = average of 59 hp.
More errata to follow. I'd just like some verification on these (and this time, I *am* sitting by my books )

Re: Recovered Temple Errata
This isn't an errata for the module, but for the MM. An athach has multidexterity, but that feat has a prerequisite of a 15 Dex. An athach has a 12 Dex. Would you rather give Axred a 15 Dex (I did for the stat block, but noted it) or would you rather say the athach's are exempt from that prerequisite (like the salamander for multiattack)?

Re: Recovered Temple Errata
Not wrong, but weird, I think.
Page 120 under "27. The Vampire"
It says Thrommel has a Listen of +13 and casts silenced spells if he hears anything above, but the area above is silenced!
Now, at first I thought where he was was also silenced, but that doesn't have to be so, so he can still make a listen check to hear what's going on outside his room, however, the silence effect means that he'll have to listen through the stone.
A DC of 0 would be penalized by +15 for a stone wall, but there's at least 10 feet of stone wall between him and the hallway. Add to that the distance between the center of the room (where his coffin is) and you get another +2 penalty for distance even if the PCs stop and talk right outside his door. Not impossible to make, but it just looks like they forgot about the silence effect when mentioning him hearing things.

Re: Recovered Temple Errata
It was covered a while back. IIRC, consensus was that the sound of the PCs' boots wold travel just fine through the stone (which, as you've pointed out yourself, isn't silenced). So he's able to hear footsteps above quite nicely.
