Contact Medallion
Has anyone gave any thought to how these things work?
Is it in the DMG? Is there a way to create one using the rules from Tome and Blood (ToB)? Should it have alignment or other restrictions on its use?
Personally, I was thinking it or making it a Medallion of Sending with maximum of 50 charges. According to the ToB such an item created without restrictions would cost 25,200 gp each (17,640 gp with an evil alignment restriction).
I was curious. Does the spell's (Sending) casting time of 10 minutes change how an item created would work. Normally, a command word activated magic item is a standard action to activate. Does the longer casting time change that to a full-round action?
Any help is appreciated. This question might be better asked in the Rules section, but I just wondered if anyone here has given it any thought.

It mimics Rary's Telepathic Bond, though, not Sending.

Thanks, my brain must have jumped right over it when I was looking for it in the appendix during the last game session
