Post-RttToEE
What published adventures are a good follow up to RttToEE? I was looking at the City of the Spider Queen, but it doesn't seem that the levels will work out correctly. I am not nearly creative enough to construct my own adventure, and I would like it to be another big adventure like the current one.
I'm asking now (Even though my party just entered the ToAC) just to begin any tie-ins, if possible.

Yes, that would work, but it is a module. I'm more in the market for a long term megadventure like RttToEE, Banewarrens, or City of the Spider Queen. Maybe The Demon God's Fane could be a lay over to up in level to another long term adventure starting at 15/16th level, but I still don't know of any of those, either 1

I like Demon's God Fane but it is just another adventure and your looking for something bigger in scope right?
Well check this out is may be just right for you.

Northern Journeys is what your looking for and they will be coming out with an awesome follow up for Return to the Temple. It is based on Return to the Tomb of Horrors among other things and will be for 3e. It will take adventurers up into Epic levels from 15 or so i think. The entire campaign is from 1st on up.
There is also a conversion of Return to Tomb of Horrors out there which would be a cool next step for those who wish to brave it. There is a yahoo group about it.
Hey Monte when they coming out with a Highlevel Campaign Adventure Book? Malhavok should do it with your talent pool it would be legendary for sure.

Ehhh....
Went to the site, and am a little confused by its setup, but I think I'm figuring out what means what. Just which of the 8 modules is the good follow-up, you say? Can't find anything about appropriate levels...

Re: Ehhh....
With some small modifications I think the old Against the Giants series could do well as a follow up to RttToEE. Sure, the giants themselves may not be a problem, but add levels of fighter, wizard, cleric, etc. and the party could be in real trouble.

{Maybe The Demon God's Fane could be a lay over to up in level to another long term adventure starting at 15/16th level}
DGF could quite easily be tied in as an extension of RttToEE. You might also consider using Bastion of Broken Souls.
Those two adventures right there would take you from 14th-20th and I don't think it would be too hard to make them part of the RttToEE story arc.
You should have plenty of loose plot threads once your party thrashes the Temple and Fanes. If you look at those two modules starting now, I think you could work them in fairly seamlessly.
-Thrommel, whose waiting for his loose plot threads to coalesce into little plot dust bunnies.

RttToEE follow up
I plan to follow up with the WotC adventure Lord of the Iron Fortress. I am leaving a note somewhere in the recovered temple from the highest level cleric in that adventure (Ignatius?) stating that the work on the Blade of Fiery Might is coming along well and he will inform his fellow doomdreamers when it is finished. The note will also explain the use for the artifact- it will be for Imix to wield. Ignatius is using Imperagon (the main villain in the module) to this end which changes the adventure somewhat to suit my campaign. I think this will hook the party into the adventure well enough, they really have a dislike for doomdreamers.
Next will be Glacier Season from Dungoen 87. I used the "Corruption of Prince Thrommel" diary in the First's bedchamber to plant this clue. The dragon Acessiwal in the adventure has Thrommel's holy sword (from years ago when they got rid of it) which I know the party wants to recover badly (Thrommel was redeemed in my campaign and is now on a quest to regain his paladinhood). They have already started trying to locate the dragon so I know they will go after the sword.
After that it will be Bastion of Broken Souls for which I haven't planted any leads for yet. I have a PC with some enemies in his background that I can use in some way I am sure. After Bastion I think that may be the end of the campaign. I have yet to see any good epic stuff out and I don't have the time (not to mention the talent) to create an epic level adventure.
Those are my plans to date. If by chance anyone here knows of any good epic level stuff (I am going to check the link above) please post them I'd like to check them out. I'd also like to see an epic level style mega adventure from Malhavoc Press, that'd be a must but on my list.

Re: RttToEE follow up
I'd strongly recommend, if you don't mind doing some heavy conversion work, finding a copy of Monte's old Labyrinth of Madness and updating it to 3E standards.
Fits the theme and follows the storyline well enough, and it certainly would provide a lengthy challenge to high level PCs.

Follow up
As much as I hate to do any adventure tweaking of my own (due to lack of time, talent, and general laziness plus I am deathly afraid of potentially screwing up the balance of how things work) It seems that DGF, then lord of the Iron Fortress, then Bastion of Broken Souls seems like it would work out. Monte, you know DGF, is there too much of a level overlap between DGF and Iron Fortress? Seems like there could be.
I second the motion for an epic level megadventure from Malhavoc Press! I know of practically no epic level adventures to begin with, so an epic level megadventure would be truly grand.

re: follow up
This is not the first time I have heard a reference made to that Labyrinth of Madness but I am unfamiliar with this adventure. Can anyone give me a basic rundown of the plot? Also is this a conversion that could be an epic adventure quite easily? I have always wanted to convert the old Bloodstone Pass series to finish up a campaign with but I just don't have the time currently.
Hopefully someone will come up with something good that can be used after Bastion of Broken Souls in the next 6 months. If anyone hears of anything please let me know. Thanks.

Re: re: follow up
Thumbnail sketch of the Labyrinth of Madness.
2nd edition module for 15th level PCs.
Some time ago, a paladin went into a very nasty hole in the ground. Just recently, a scepter turned up in (insert convenient nearby capital city). The paladin was visible trapped in miniature in the capstone of the scepter, in horrible mind-wrenching agony, and nothing anyone tried could get him back out or communicate with him.
There was a note attached to the general effect of "bugger off and don't bother me anymore".
A bit of research and divination finds the hole in the ground that the Paladin went into. From there, it's heave-ho and off-we-go to investegate said nasty hole and try to figure out how to free the Paladin and do in the badguy.
Labyrinth of Madness is an EXTENSIVE dungeon crawl...close to on par with the CRM. It has some exceedingly nasty and underhanded dirty tricks, traps, puzzles and so forth. It's very fond of playing some downright painful mind games.
It's also impossible to complete as-pubished. There is errata for it that is very, very necessary in order to finish the adventure. In short, the published version has a key behind the door it unlocks.
I played through an ad-hoc conversion of it done "on the fly" by another DM. It was nightmarish to say the least, and is quite suitable for PCs of the level RttToEE ends off with. We played it with starting-15ths and I came out in the end at 18th...my "infamous" barrier mage.

So is the LoM really..umm..."interactive"? Is it just monster after monster, or does it have all the interactions and complexity of RttToEE? Is there any amount of RPing? Are there puzzles and actual reoccuring villians and such and some grand mystery to be solved? Not to be demanding, but that's along the lines of what would be grand.

Re: follow up
To add another adventure idea. "The Harrowing" that was published in Dungeon Mag #84 is just right for PCs finishing up RttToEE. It's full of nasty drow, slaad, etc. And a trip to the Demonweb Pits...what fun!

Re: follow up
LoM has a minor degree of interactivity. It's a Dungeon Crawl, but it's an interactive one where things don't stay put. There isn't really much built-in politicing that goes on, but there's potential for it if the DM is creative.
You can find the adventure here and the Errata here (scroll down the page a ways or search for Madness).

Hmm, well I personally don't think I'll be using LoM after RttToEE, just because of the low RPing level. Though if my players -want- to run a massive mindbending psychomaze of doom, then maybe But I'm gonna hold out for another good megadventure. Hopefully epic? ::wink wink Monte nudge nudge::

Re: 2e conversions
I think I'm with Shadowcat in that at least one of my players would like have a go at the AD&D Against the Giants series - there are some conversions about which can be a useful starting point.
We may spin off into the Underdark series and finish up with Queen of the Demonweb Pits... again, I think I can deal with the conversion work, but the big hassle is what to do with the clerics of EEE that are driving the whole giant attacks...

Against the Giants
Well, if you take a look at Eclavdra's ELH stats, you'll see that she's probably at about the right CR for where your PCs will be by the time they finish your new G1-3...
It's not like "winning" RttToEE will actually accomplish anything to permanently damage the clergy of the EEE. The goal of the adventure is to prevent T's return, not to inflict any proactive damage on his church and the sham churches fostered by him.
The main problem that I see with running G1-3 after RttToEE is that you're continuing a campaign-long trend of combat-heavy adventures. My guess is that PCs are going to want some serious RP-based campaigning after completing RttToEE; not that there isn't RP potential in this adventure, but it is VERY bloody.
Something like City of the Spider Queen isn't a bad idea; the adventure starts at 10th level, and the encounter difficulty can be modified upward with some ease. A more interesting campaign might be one centered around a premise similar to that in "Cradle of Madness" (Dungeon 87, IIRC), with higher-level NPCs and a longer-term setup. Also, the two Big T-related artifacts described in Dragon 297 might be used in some plane-spanning grand adventure.
