Should ALL cults replaced humans with BOVD's Vashara?
What do you think?

Re: Should ALL cults replaced humans with BOVD's Vashara?
I certainly wouldn't do it. Some might work, but all? No. Take Gren, for example: there was a suggestion (I forget whose it was) that she be played as a disaffected daughter of a minor noble. Spoiled, and looking for a place to fit in. Such a character wouldn't work as a Vasharan.
Besides, given the Vasharan's dislike of divine magic, and of gods, it's a bit of a stretch to have one as a cleric (unless you make him an ur-priest). To have all of the clerics as Vasharans is an even greater stretch.

I'd have to agree (and that was my idea about Gren...not one shared by all, btw).
One of the more emotional aspects of this module is the fact that you're fighting against other humans and, in some cases, even Elves (believe me, my PCs did a double take when they found out they were fighting Elves in the CRM). If you made all the humans into Vashara and all the Elves into Drow you're just morally simplifying the entire setup. "Oh look, they're evil by nature...kill 'em and move on".
Not to mention Chartam's all-too-valid point that the whole purpose of the cult is the veneration and restoration of a deity, something that deity-hating Vashara would be unlikely to take part in, especially en-masse.

What appeal to V. is the concept of big T. Big T is what V. need: to destroy the living gods in existence. That is one of my recommendation. I'm not adovacating to changes V to human, but I just want to see your opinions.

Big T and EEE
The problem is that most of the clerics of the cult think they're worshiping the Elder Elemental Eye, *not* Tharizdun. That means they aren't even worshiping a god that wants to destroy others, just a good old run of the mill evil god.
I think it may be neat and ironic to make a few of the Doomdreamers (maybe even The First?) a Vashara, because most of the doomdreamers were driven insaine by T.'s foul telepathic whispering. IMO T. picks the DoomDreamers, not the other way around. So that way you could have a nice conflicted charactor in a Vasharan Doomdreamer, and it could make him even MORE insane and sadistic than the others!

Double Post?
Did you mean to post that again? If not, ask one of the mods to nuke it. At least i think ezboard allows deleting specific comments.

Hmm.. I didn't mean to repost that...
but great point.. I always think certain cults should be V. It is amazing to have great assemble of people to work to dasty end. Having V. will put Monte's BOVD to great use. It always nice to add Jerren as insane tribes or guards to ward off the adventurers. I never say that all elves need to be replace with drow! They can be replaced with Wood elves or Wild Elves, but not necessarily drows!
Just a specific few V. is enough to make this game more fascinating and brutal. If Hedrack is a V, it will explains his connection with his race.
