Player Handouts...Help
Hey folks,
My party is making it's way through the CRM and I've been looking for player handouts. Do any of you all have any that you've created that you'd be willing to share?
Thanks

Handouts
Allow me to be the first to point you to this wonderful site : www.darktheatre.net/dnd/index.php
Sorry, I don't remember the name of the person behind it but kudos extreme to them. There are a number of great handouts there, along with very handy area-by-area monster stat printouts. You might also want to try the Yahoo group, titled RTTTOEE. It has some nice resources too. I know Andorax has a page too, and I seem to remember it having some handouts too. I may be completely wrong here since my memory is never the most accurate of functions, and I'm sure he'll be able to tell you if I'm right / wrong.
Hope that helps!

Re: Handouts
Unfortunately, all the handouts on the yahoogroup have disappeared in some recent database problems.

It's Lenny's site. Unfortunately Lenny hasn't been active here since his party had a TPK involving the demonstone.
"They were immediately and absolutely recognizable as adventurers. They were hardy and dangerous, lawless, stripped of allegiance or morality, living off their wits, stealing and killing, hiring themselves out to whoever and whatever came... They were scum who died violent deaths, hanging on to a certain cachet among the impressionable through their undeniable bravery and their occasionally impressive exploits" China Mieville, Perdido Street Station |

re: handouts
IIRC Thormmel also has some RttToEE related materials on his site. As for some good handout material I have a file on my computer that has about 53 mB of RttToEE material. Some of it is campaign specific but easily adaptable.
I have the CRM maps with the map on one side of the page and all of the creatures on the other side of the same page. VERY HANDY and saved alot of page flipping. Put together by a guy named Starkus IIRC. I'd be happy to send this to you if you'd like, just let me know.

*poof*
Hmmm... that gaseous form isn't all it's cracked up to be.
I have a few handy tools and adapted handouts on my campaign site. Most of the PDF's are under "Known Records of the Temple of Elemental Evil".
Note that I ran this in a homebrew campaign, so it doesn't always jive with the main storyline laid out in the module as written.
But I think the Book of the Dark Eye turned out nicely, if nothing else.
-Thrommel, who goes *foop*. Hmmm... I'm gonna have to get that looked at.

ronin,
I'd love to get some of that material. How could I convince you to share?

Ronin, I think you'll have many takers. However, 53 MB is a bit much for email. Is there some place you could put this for download?

Re: re: handouts
I'm happy to host large files. I'd just need to get them somehow. I have one place that can be used for FTP uploads. Drop me a PM or e-mail haffner at astro dot wisc dot edu if you want to do this route.
Does anyone know what happened to the Yahoo files? I keep going back there hoping they will reappear, but nothing so far. Anyone heard anything or whether they are gone for good (GASP!!!)

You're right, oh Fallen One. Phew.
But seriously, folks . . .
If you find someplace to make those files available, I'd love to see them. My party is just going to get into tOT on Monday.

That would be much appreciated, Zans. And I have many of the Yahoo files. I can send them to you if you want to host those, too. You can reach me at shinenihs at hotmail dot com.

Though it hasn't been updated in over a year, my site has some items on it:

Re: handouts
Not sure anyone will want em, but I just spent the last coupla hours playing in Photoshop, recreating (and slightly modifying) the maps published in the module for the Black Spike.
They're y'all's for the taking.
www.unc.edu/~pacooper/games/black_spike/
They're done on a 1 inch grid so that my players can use their minis for a change. We so rarely do it that I thought I'd give them a treat.
I also gave them a pretty nasty description of the Blasted Yard if you want to see it.

Fire Bridge Map
I have an *EXCELENT* photoshopping of the Fire Bridge area. It uses 1" squares = 5' instead of what's in the module map of 1 square = 10 feet. This makes it usable for minatures.
If the fire bridge fight was anything like what it was for my campaign, you'll want a nice map of it, since it's prolly one of the biggest fights in the CRM.
I don't have any webspace, but if anyone has someplace i can upload it, that'd be great.

53 Megs!!! Awesome
Ronin, I would love to get my hands on those materials, and it looks like quite a few others would be interested as well. Is there a chance we can get this information up on a ftp site somewhere?
Thanks for your help everyone, all that info will come in handy.

Resources
Just wanted to put in my own plug.
Two items, both big and bulky, but hopefully well worth the trouble, can be found here:
www.firedragon.com/~andorax/
One is a powerpoint presentation with all of the pictures from the module (including a "corrected" version of the moathouse, a picture of the Chamber of Hate without the Succubus, and my own versions of all of the various unholy symbols)
The other is a collection of WotC "Free" adventures that should do nicely for taking PCs from 1st to 4th and ready to go adventuring.

Fire Bridge Map
The party is probably headed to the fire bridge next week (that's the one with D'gran right?) That map would be awesome (plus I have a plotter at work and can print out a large copy!). Email the map to me here if you get a chance:

Re: Resources
I am currently working on all the CRM maps. I've rescanned them in (due to the Yahoo groups down) at high resolution, rotated them accordingly to the compass so that all norths point up, resize them smaller and I am not in the process of connecting them all on one big image. I plan on putting the fanes in the middle and building the bridges to span the gaps, maybe even putting the inner fanes off the edge in one corner or another.
My plan is to then print it out on C or D size paper from a color plotter. With that I will track the party's progress through the CRM and fanes and then update an electronic copy (maybe).
I just hope that the maps are reasonably well behaved. When I'm done, Zans I'll come talk to you. Thank God for clone brushing and retouching.

Amen, brother. The Healing Brush in 7 also comes in handy in these situations.
If anyone has web spece they'd like to donate, I have all those 'interactive' maps that were prepared in . . . PhotoSuite? . . . converted to Photoshop for handy usage by those of us who have access to THE BEST IMAGE EDITING SOFTWARE EVER CREATED!!!! erm . . . sorry . . .
The only problem is that they only go up through 2/3 - 3/4 of the CRM . . . .

Wow, I wish I'd had those maps with stats a few months ago.
I'm also jealous of you plotter owning peeps. I made those new Black Spike maps with the knowledge that the biggest dimension had to be under 8.5 inches.

re: handouts
I would be more than happy to share any of the files I have but I don't have a place to post them. Add in the fact that I wouldn't know how to even if I had the space and it seems my only option is to send them in some other way.
I have AIM, yahoo, and MSN messengers which I have used before to send files. I could try email but the file is pretty big. As far as I know sending them over an instant messenger isn't a bad way to go but if anyone has a better idea I am willing to try anything. I could even burn a CD and mail it if that would be better.
Of course anyone I send them to can feel free to post whatever you wish wherever you wish. All I need is a place and a method to send the files and we'll be good to go. I will need to eliminate some of the files that are duplicated but I'll work on that as soon as I am able. Hope this helps.
