Smoke room in fire temple
The smoke room in the fire temple, I think it's 110. How long did it take your party to deal with that? My parts spent the better part of three hours messing around with that room.

Of course, that could be because one of the players was snatched away to another plane to become a shade while they were inside the room, and so they spent a lot of time looking for him, but....nah.... :b

Hmm, well.
Well, he wanted to become a shade, so we worked in some backstory involving his character being cursed by Iuz as he and his armies razed his village when he was a child. But given that he was a sorc, it did not turn him into a death knight (loyal to Iuz) as it was intended, (Don't ask me if Iuz actually has that power, he does now :evil ) but instead battled it out with his magical energies inside of him for his developing years. Eventually Orcus, who has been killed multiple times, according to the Dead Gods adventures and is currently residing in a very very weak, shadowy form on the correlating plane of shadow of the negative material plane (A nice place, he's close to his undead minions, but is in an obscure shadow plane and so can lay low), has taken note of this unique product of his old ally and enemy, Iuz. Deciding to actually gain a mortal tool of his own, Orcus wisks away the character to the negative shadow plane, tells him that he is following him now, and sends him back to the prime material as a shade. :smokin Yup, it's kwazy

The character (Cade) does not really know what's going on, but 1. If he enters the Empire of Iuz, which he most likely will because the party monk has amnesia and is slowly realizing that she is from that Empire, so the party will go their in a past-searching side adventure for the monk, Iuz will probably take note. 2. Orcus will use Cade, the shade character, to return himself to full power/existence by distrupting the very last ritual (with the orb of oblivion and the vortex dealy underneath the Temple of EE) to release Big T. I'm thinking that Cade will be compelled to grab the orb of oblivion and jump into the vortex, creating a medium sized boom, NOT releasing Big T, sending the Orb to the Far Realms, and bringing back Orcus, not undead Orcus, but the real live Orcus, back and kicking.

::p hew:: yeah, that's my story :hat
