Re: Frustration with the CRM Map . . .
He heh. Actually being a bit of a perfectionist sometimes the thing that bugs me is the shadows on the wall... making them really thick and hard to tell exactly how big some of the rooms and passages are. This is exacerbated by the irregular shape of most of the walls and areas. It was definitely a decision to value art/appearance over functionality, but hey, people would probably complain if they were plain black and white maps.
I just tell myself it doesn't matter and just give my best guestimate, but my players caught me in an inaccuracy last session.
"They were immediately and absolutely recognizable as adventurers. They were hardy and dangerous, lawless, stripped of allegiance or morality, living off their wits, stealing and killing, hiring themselves out to whoever and whatever came... They were scum who died violent deaths, hanging on to a certain cachet among the impressionable through their undeniable bravery and their occasionally impressive exploits" China Mieville, Perdido Street Station |
