File archive update
Sorry about the extra delay, but I think it will be worth it. I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for as an interface to serve the files, so I think I'm going to roll my own. There have been a good number of uploads, so we'll have a good amount right off the bat. Thanks!

On the plus side, though, some of the guys I game with offered space for me to host the whole thing (files and Page 21) on their webhosting box(es). This should give me a little more flexibility for implementation (and not have to worry about proper 'use' issues here on campus) and offer pretty darn good bandwidth.

Organization
Forgot to ask one more thing. I thought of two basic ways to organize the material.

* By chapter. Just like the old Y! group and the Errata/FAQ, this would break things up by where they fit best in the book.

* By content type. My personal stuff is organized more by content, so I have a Graphics, Fiction, NPCs, etc.

* Some blending of the two. Probably the biggest problem with this is that you get many folders, some being sparse and perhaps many being empty.

Comments? Preferences?

Re: Organization
For hardcore people it might be easy to store everything sorted by file/content type, but it might be overwhelming to a new DM who is just looking for info on Hommlett and the moathouse.

Alternatively a text file could list which files are applicable to which chapters, but that would mean it would have to be updated.

"They were immediately and absolutely recognizable as adventurers. They were hardy and dangerous, lawless, stripped of allegiance or morality, living off their wits, stealing and killing, hiring themselves out to whoever and whatever came... They were scum who died violent deaths, hanging on to a certain cachet among the impressionable through their undeniable bravery and their occasionally impressive exploits" China Mieville, Perdido Street Station

Re: Organization
I'd definitly go for a by chapter-solution. To echo a previous sentiment, it's easier on newbies and people in a hurry.

Howzzat for a long-winded "me too"?!

Re: Organization
Both options have merit, and I'd be fine with either. I just want to get those files . . . :)
