Varachan?
How important is it to have Varachan help out the PCs, and how do you usually go about doing this.
My group has taken out the Earth Temple, Air Temple, South Gate (has been restocked with Omarthis' group though, Main Gate, The Air Bridge (really it is now empty), The Fire Bridge, and the water dock for the Water Door. The group took out Vister and Chatrilon (buffed up) last session and will probably take out the Water Temple in the next session.
I have been trying to think of a way to get Varachan involved, but I haven't come up with anything really yet. I read all of the BotB and those treads, but I still can't see a way to make a helping presence known.

Is he needed? If not, and the PC's have things well in hand, Varachan should not risk alerting Hedrack to his betrayal yet. In fact, the PC's might not even know about him until they get to the Outer Fane. A really good idea was provided by Abelard in his campaign log, where Varachan writes a letter to Terrenygit, really intending it for the party. It's near the end of the post titled "Interlude: Bethe stalks the party".
