How long did it take YOU to finish RttToEE?
I think the topic says it all dontcha think?
Seriously though, i was wondering how many sessions and how long each session was (approx.) to finish this beast. I'm just starting it, so i curious to see the average.
Thanks

Re: How long did it take YOU to finish RttToEE?
We played every other week for about 10 months. Sessions were typically 4-5 hours long.
It took us a year, and that's after I edited the module down. My players saw only parts of the Outer Fane and didn't go after the Inner Fane.
Make no doubt about it -- this module is a big committment for you AND your players. It's worth it, but you all have to go into it with your eyes open.

6 months, playing on average twice a week, for 4-6 hours per session.
'course I added more temples, put in side quests and expanded on the drow intrigue and took it all the way up to bastion of broken souls.

re: finishing RttToEE
We started RttToEE around September/ October of 2001 and finished it around January of 2003. This was playing every Saturday for about 7-8 hours a session. There were quite a few sessions that were entirely RP and we did miss a few sessions due to real life stuff. All in all probably the best value for my money (as far as an adventure goes) that I've ever spent.

a long time!
My group started back in October of last year...we play twice a week almost every week, for about 4-5 hours each time. Take out about 15% of those sessions for a variety of reasons, G/Fs birthdays, kids, work and me taking an occasional break from DMing. At this stage my group has only got as far as clearing about a quarter of the CRM! Pretty much everything from the south gate as far as just south of the main gate. However, this is the third party to take on the threat, and I've restocked the CRM after each previous group was defeated, as well as throwing in a few side quests and encounters.Things finally seem to be accelerating with this current group though, so I expect progress around the CRM and into the outer fane to be quite impressive in the next couple of months.

Re: a long time!
We started in late August 2001 with this adventure (prior to that had been about 6 months' play to get the group to 4th level). 4 months went with two side-treks, "The Speaker in Dreams" and "The Cradle of Madness", and then, in May 2002, it was off to Rastor. Last Sunday, the group decided to head for the Fanes.
So, about 10 months, with one session every 4 weeks on average (we play every third Sunday, but real life does step in on occasion).
Oh, and my group has taken out the Water, Fire, and Earth temples plus the Fire Bridge and the Main (West) Entrance.

Re: a long time!
We started around Sept/Oct of 2001, game "every" Sunday for 4-6 hours..."every" defined as sporadically and with frequent cancellations...and we're just into the Recovered Temple now.
RttToEE is easily a year's commitment for all but the most fanatical and "hut-hut-hut" oriented groups. That's a lot of entertainment for the cover price!
