Tanbrosh - De-toxification in Difficult Circumstances
Well, based off of the descriptions of Tanbrosh, I've decided that my PC who took one dose has become addicted. This creates problems, though, as none of them have a real strong alchemy skill OR Neutralize Poison. It also appears that no one in Rastor would have NP either. I'm afraid that they may be a little put our with Tal, who probably doesn't know a cure anyway. SO . . . what are the chances of survival for a character addicted? The could probably pick up enough of a supply to make it back to Hommlet to have Y'Dey cast NP (I THINK she can do, else it's off to Verbobonc). Has anyone had to deal with this? How did you handle it?

Re: Tanbrosh - De-toxification in Difficult Circumstances
I think you're on the right track. It is very deadly if left untreated and the victim/patient stops taking the drug. I believe a healing check can also help, right? So, the group has these options:
1. Use alchemy or heal to remove the addiction. This is time-consuming, but workable. It is possible, under the right circumstances, to even have Tal do this for them (is money sufficient? perhaps threatening would work).
2. Neutralize poison or other stronger spell. This doesn't seem to be an option.
3. Get enough doses to last until the party can travel to Hommlet. Similar to #1, Tal probably wouldn't give out this many doses. However, I suppose with a successful bluff, the party might convince him they are looking to get more people hooked.
I would not provide any other means to remove the effects. I.e. no deus ex machina. This is tough spot for the PC, but it is mostly RP and don't deprive them of the opportunity to get through it. Perhaps the PC will remain happily addicted for a time, doing some odd jobs for Tal. When the party cleric reaches 7th level though...Tal will be in a world of hurt.

Well, i think this is where they are going to start feeling the pinch of not having a dedicated cleric. Some of the party is closing in on 7th level, but there is no 'Cleric' per se. There are some healing spells about, but no one near a level to help in this case.
How would Slow Poison work in this instance?
