Wind Walking into the Fane
I'm a little unsure whether I should post this here or in the Magic thread, but as I'd like to get it in context, I'll start off here:
My gang is planning on wind walking into the Fanes, and I'm fine with that! No problem at all. After all, the only place they can touch down in in The Blasted Yard, and my Vilewights (yes, of course I've boosted them! Lvl 4 human warriors with the Wight and the Disrupted template slapped on them) are bored.
IIRC, the towers grant true seeing, don't they? How would that affect the "80% chance of being mistaken for a cloud" that comes with wind walking (yes, they are going to dress in white)?
Or in short: If looked at with True Seeing, does a character with Wind Walk still have an 80% chance of being mistaken for a cloud?

Re: Wind Walking into the Fane
Personally I would say 'No' .. they are not mistaken anymore for a cloud. After all itīs a magical disguise effect, is it not ?
With the "dressing up in white" thing ... well, at least I would lower the "being mistaken"-chance to 10 or 20 percent. People just donīt look like clouds . Maybe a bonus for a cloudy day.
But beware of those days when sky is blue and sun is bright and you try the old "look, I am a fast and against the wind moving cloud" trick, hehe !

I also agree that true seeing will reveal the "clouds" for what they are.

Re: Wind Walking into the Fane
Thanks for the input guys. Unfortunately - or fortunately for my players - the towers do not bestow true seeing, "just" see invisibility and darkvision.
And I've just read some of my players' mails to each other: They just plan to scout the SER's. So my wights will stay bored a while longer.
