Running the temple in the Silver Marches (Forgotten Realms)
Hi all. I'm planning to DM the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil in the Forgotten Realms. My players' base of operations is in the Silver Marches, therefore I'd like to run the module there. Has anyone here on the boards placed the module there? If yes, it would be very helpful to get some info about exactly where did you placed the most important locations, like which hamlet did you replace Hommlet with, which mountain range did you put the temples, etc.
Any comments are welcome.

I set the module in the Dessarin hills, not too far to the south of the Silver Marches. I substituted Yartar for Hommlet, Beliard for Rastor and placed the moathouse, old temple, Nulb and the crater ridge mines in the Dessarin hills area. You can see details on my campaign log. It's called 'Daryls' Campaign - Dessarin Hills', coincidentally enough!

Well, I haven't really planned to run RttToEE yet.... but! I "noticed" that Querrvarr is about the same size as Hommlet.
Despite being a wilderness, the Silver Marches felt almost "too crowded" to fit RttToEE into it. I'm sure that's no problem, it was just a feeling I got.
I am also very much interested in hearing more about RttToEE in the Silver Marches! Keep it coming,,,

You know, that's exactly the impression I had. :-) I looked through the Silver Marches book, and it simply was too detailed. Everywhere I checked, I read the entry and said: hmm, not fitting, not fitting. In one place it was a ruin there which made placing the temple impossible, in other there were an orc tribe camping in an inappropriate place. :-) Of course there's the option to move out everything not fitting and make place for the temple and stuff, but I like to leave "official info" as it is. However, if I come up with something cool, I'll post it here.
