Thank You Thank You Thank You!
This is a HUGE Thank you to ZansforCans & Chartam & everyone else who contributed to Zan's archives at:
zans.clanplaid.net/
I have FINALLY gotten my players to leave hommlet & head for CRM.
I spent a lot of time reading through both the main entrance, maps B, L and the South Entrance trying to get a good sense in my head for how the dungeon was laid out - as I can never be sure where my players will go.
I was settling myself down to manually copy out important stat blocks - I usually use index cards for named NPC's -and was sighing at the work I'd have to do just to cover the two entrances, knowing that flipping to the Appendix was a sure route to maddness (& not in a good, "inducing madness in my players " sort of way).
Then I discovered that ALL of the map sections for the CR had already had their important stat blocks gathered along with the relevant maps!!!
My wife got to watch me do a happy dance about our house as I gleefully printed off all the documents!!
You guys saved me hours of work, which gave me tons of time to other prep work for the campaign!!
So a big ... thank you!! thank you !!thank you!!! to you all.
With some of that free time I put together a little Hommlet "shopping guide" on my campaign website - feel free to borrow it, if you wish (it's written with the assumption that the cultists in the Mill have been dealt with by the PC's).

(Please excuse the spelling mistakes.)
Oh - and as always thanks to Monte for such a great adventure!
Except for the having all the stats in the appendix (and NPC's being what they are - I think having the stat blocking IN the adventure text would have been much worse), this is proving great fun to run. I've not had such a good time since ran the first Ravenloft module (back before Ravenloft was a settling of it's own), and my players seem to be really into the storyline. There are enough great red-herrings to keep them guessing - and they're not sure who to trust or what's really going on yet.
They do HATE these cultists though - and seem driven to crush them completely.
Well, that's it - I'm a happy DM, and I really appreciate the hard work that went into the DMing aids, and to Zans' for providing a place to host them!

Great marketplace, btw...I'm impressed. I'd love to see another version without the historical references tied in at some point...generic, such that any DM could make use of it.
The only thing I'd change in it would be to look over your tables a bit. Some of them (the Tailor demonstrates this well) have one column slammed hard against the right side of the page and crammed in, while the other takes up most of the rest. You might consider specifying table field widths to get it to format more "nicely".
Also, I looked over your "loot" pages...are those amulets a bit familiar looking perhaps? It seems you downloaded my powerpoint presentation. I hope it's proved of use to you.

I'll do that, it might help someone just starting the adventure - it should be easy to adjust the quotes for the various NPC's and create a link for the Mill.
>>The only thing I'd change in it would be to look over your tables a bit. Some of them have one column slammed hard against the right side of the page and crammed in,
Yeah.
I was cutting & pasting from an excel spreadsheet & had to manually change the table widths to 100% just to get them to spread across the page - then I decided to take some of my long lists (the Tailor is an excellent example) and doubled the colunms so that the page itself would be shorter - and I didn't go through & edit the individual column widths so that everything fit neatly.
I'll edit those asap.
Thanks for the aesthetic pointers.

I'm sure that's where I grabbed them from - Thanks Andorax!
I downloaded a bunch of things over the past few weeks & crammed them all into a folder - I remembered that a bunch were from Chartam as we've met & the name leapt out at me.
I don't have access to a good scanner (well - not a home anyways) and the power point presentation was a real gift - I really liked having good images of the "amulets" to show to my players - and I hate holding up the module in play -so I expect I'll be using a goodly number of the powerpoint images during play as well.

Damn it, Zans .. I didn´t know this site of yours existed. Well, now I know . Great Stuff.
I like the sound-folder and would like to ask if anybody has more of those stored away somewhere .... I could need it since tonight I will for the first time be using sounds and music.
Thanks from me, too.

Re: Thank You Thank You Thank You!
Thanks guys
I'm really sorry I haven't had time to put the 'real' interface on the file archive yet. I've been spending a bunch of time on my own campaign getting ready for the party's departure from the Hommlet area.
[OT]
OK, that's only part of it. I'm hiding the real truth from you. Blame firmly rests on G.R.R. Martin's shoulders. I just *had* to finish Storm of Swords once I cracked it. I knew I shouldn't have. Damn! That was one fine, fine, fine series of books. Now comes the hard wait for #4!
[/OT]
I'll be getting back into the swing by the end of the month, I hope!

Thanks Monte!
I think your site is cool too btw!
I'm having a great time with RttToEE, my only concern is we'll still be immersed in the adventure when Arcana Unearthed & the Diamond Throne come out - and I'm really looking forward to using those rules. Sigh.
Never enough time to run all the games I want to run!
Zans - the archives & files are great as is - so I'm looking forward to any improvements. Keep up the good work!
