Interactive Maps
I've been endeavoring to complete the set of interactive map files that another started, and I'm banging my way through them. However, I'm doing them in Photshop, which means that you will have to have PS, or some other Adobe product that recognizes layers to make them work.

Would people be interested in me uploading these to ZfC's site?

Absolutely!

"They were immediately and absolutely recognizable as adventurers. They were hardy and dangerous, lawless, stripped of allegiance or morality, living off their wits, stealing and killing, hiring themselves out to whoever and whatever came... They were scum who died violent deaths, hanging on to a certain cachet among the impressionable through their undeniable bravery and their occasionally impressive exploits" China Mieville, Perdido Street Station

Is there a question?

Yes, please edit your post by reversing the words "Would" and "people". That should fix things.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to point out that Selleck in a bunny suit is even more disturbing than him as a leprechaun. I didn't think that was possible. Which reminds me... I have always been itching to ask "why Selleck?" and "what's behind the eyepatch?", but I don't think I'd like the answer to either question, so maybe we shouldn't go there today...

<the Easter Selleck slyly blocks Zans' exit with his hawaiian print tail>

I'm glad you asked that question, because I never fail to enjoy relating this story . . . :D

Why Selleck is an easy one. About 3-4 years ago I saw this excellent oil painting of Tom Selleck hanging on the wall of a thrift store. I said to myself: "Self, you will kick yourself in years to come if you don't buy that picture." Fortunately, my wife agreed with myself. So, I shelled out the $5.95 and brought home 16"x20" of rich Sellecky goodness.

At the time, I worked at Lewis & Clark College running the multimedia and video lab. We had a wonderful large format scanner and a large format printer. So I scanned the picture and made a number of prints, one of which STILL hangs on the wall of the lab as a sort of patron saint, even over a year after my departure. I made icons and other things from the picture, and when I discovered this forum, I knew that no picture would serve better than my Tom Selleck. I've actually grown rather fond of him, and feel a sort of connection with the man. I hope I never meet him, since I'll probably act as if I've known him for years. A restraining order would most definitely follow.

The eyepatch is even easier to explain. Many people here will remember the bruhaha surrounding Talk Like a Pirate day. I had long been tickled by THE's humorous modifications of his cute little evil god, so I figured I'd give Tom an eye patch for the occasion. I had only intended for it to only be brought out for the Pirate day, but there was such a hue and cry when I returned the normal Tom that I re-instated Patchy Tom. And he's been here ever since.

I was actually planning on setting up a Cafe Press shop with Tom t-shirts, coffe mugs, mouse pads, etc., but then I read their rules which stated that you cannot use images of celebrities. And thus, I was saddened. I was thinking EVERYONE would want a Tom Selleck t-shirt. I know I want one.

Anyway, there you have it, the Tale of Tom. Guard it well, and pass it on to future generations.

EDIT: Just to keep this on topic:

I haven't been removing the room numbers, mainly due to laziness. Is that an issue to any of you? I can do it, if people would prefer the sanitized version.

I see no problem with room numbers... in fact, i think it might be useful since the CRM is so big - the players can actually reference rooms more easily that way.

Yes, that makes sense. I just removed all the number from map K, but I probably won't bother on the others. The only problem I see is with the three room 221's in the Earth Temple. It might give away the fact that each room has the same monsters. But, since they attack automatically and retreat to group up with the others, that doesn't really matter either.

I generally give people room numbers so that I can easily identify magic items when the time comes anyway . . .
