Tal's Response to a Beligerent Addict
Hwo would you have Tal respond to a beligerent, confrontational addict? My party's gnome rogue is hooked on Tanbrosh, and he slipped away the first morning after he started taking to get more. He basically threatened Tal, saying things like "You don't need a tongue to brew potions . . ." Tal tried to pressure him, but the PC made a fairly stiff will save to hold his line.
Now, I'm planning on making the will save progressively harder every time he goes back, but I'm also wondering if perhaps Tal might not just pack up and move. I mean, he doesn't need this kind of aggravation . . .

Play it cool. You don't need to convince him, the drug will do it for you.
If he's getting threatening, simply say, "You're more than welcome to try finding it on your own. I'll be available when you want to be more civil." and walk out. Just walk away. You're in control, you have ALL the power, and there's no reason whatsoever for you to let yourself be treated like that.

I'm actually kind of hoping that he kills Tal. At that point his entire survival is based on the Ftr/Cleric being able to cast Neutralize Poison off of a scroll. . .

IMC, the angry party sorcerer killed Tal. And the whole party was addicted. Now that was fun.
But initially, I was going to handle it like Andorax said. You are in charge. If you are dead, no Tanbrosh. If you are hurt, Tanbrosh is out.
