Boosting Lareth
Hi,

Has anyone made an alternate Lareth of higher levels to be more a threat to the party?. At the moment he is only a CR7. Is there any need though because Imix will be
there and it is unlikely Lareth would even need to get involved?

I am the CHAMPION!!!!
Check out the BoB thread - there are a couple of versions of a boosted Champion-Lareth with elemental templates - even a demonically-infused elemental-templated Lareth. They're a fair bit tougher than Lareth in Nulb.

Plus Champion Lareth's got the Rod of Force (unless the PCs somehow got it before he was proclaimed Champion), which in itself is pretty potent.

For additional effect try adding 'Deeper Madness' to Lareth - give him a boost (+2, maybe +3? - he is special after all) to his Madness score, which will make his spell DCs a bit higher...
or go crazy and give him 'Clarity of True Madness' - boost his Madness score and/or give him an 'always on' Madness domain power (+ Madness score to any Wis-based check) - this is normally a once-a-day deal but for the final battle I don't think it unbalances him (given the company he keeps).
Have his eyes blaze with unholy insight too! And keep saying 'I see you', 'I know you', 'the Eye sees all', that kind of stuff...breaking into a muah-ah-ha-hahhhaaaa!!! once in a while...
...sorry, got caught up in the moment there for a second. :)
