the blind grumag
one of my players played a halforc fighter named grumag, who progressed to a master samuria prc, and then iutsua master from oa. by the time the adv was over he was the baddest pc in the game. the funny thing is he went the majority of the campain blind!! when entering the crater temple during the first fight a cleric cast a blindness spell on him. with no clerics in the group and the only wizard deciding dispel magic wasn't worth ever learning tracy (the player) had no choice but to take penalties. under the condition summary in the dmg page 83 it states that someone who has been blind for a while may overcome the pen. w/ time at dm's descretion. as a fighter he could easily picked up blind-fighting. after three levels, and three chances to take the feat on his own, i gave him the feat for free. grumag became the main man in the group, the only char. not to die the entire adv, and the only origional starting char to finish the adv. anybody else have any exp w/ a blind char in rtoem?

Re: the blind grumag
No, my players would either cast the spell cure blindness themselves or find a low level NPC cleric willing to do so for a small fee Which in some way is a shame, because a blind hero would be kind of cool.

Re: the blind grumag
as i said they had no cleric, they almost left the temple but decided (w/ dm advice) that time was too important to fisk the travel. grumag did however regain his sight before returning to the origional temple
