Timeline at the Moathouse
Hi again,
I had a question about the timeline at the Moathouse. It states on p.20 that a wagon will arrive 72 hours after
the PCs first arrive at the Moathouse.
-- My question is, who is with this wagon? Cultists? If so, where are the stats?
Chtrilon and Chenashi arrive only AFTER they get a message from the Moathouse clerics, or after ANOTHER 24 hours, as i understand it.
Can anyone supply me with an exact timeline of events that are supposed to happen please? I know i'm DM and i can what i want, but i figure the RttToEE Hivemind has much more "evilness" to it
Thanks.

Re: Timeline at the Moathouse
There are no stats for the wagon personnel, though there may be an entry in the BoB or errata sticky threads. A typical layout would be a single Cleric2 (use Gren's or Geynor's stats), a couple of War1's (one driver, one handler), and the grick.
Assuming Chat does not know the PC's are going to the moathouse:
1. PC's arrive at moathouse and defeat Big U. Time 0.
2. The clerics at the moathouse, if they know about the PC's will attempt to get a message to Dunrat. If successful, Chat/Chenashi arrive 24 hours later.
3. 72 hours later the wagon arrives. What else happens completely depends on your group.
If Chat accompanies the PC's, the wagon still arrives 72 hours after Time 0, but now the bad guys know about the party. Chat will likely try to take out a PC after the battle and either escape back to Hommlet to tell Dunrat or into the moathouse.

Re: Timeline at the Moathouse
The only problem in my campaign was this:
1. PC's arrive at moathouse and DON'T defeat the Big U.
1a. The go back to Hommlet and rest for 3 days. (72 hrs)
1b. They now go back to Moathouse and defeat the Big U. So its now about 72 hours later.
so in theory, the rest should happen like this:
2. The wagon now arrives at night lets say.
3. Once the clerics learn about the dragon being defeated, they will send for help at Dunrat's. Or this is even required since the wagon is there??
Another question i have is, at what point do the clerics plug up the hole at the bottom (ie: room 32)? When the wagon gets there? How long after?
Thanks

Re: Timeline at the Moathouse
Ordos1, that's about how my timeline went. What I did was this:
Upon returning to the Moathouse, the party found, inexplicably, a wagon parked out in the middle of the courtyard. Searching further (after driving off Big U), they found the remains of more people.
Basically, I figured that U would win against the wagon people hands-down, and that thus the cart-and-cage would be quite visible to the party. IMC, I had one of the two drivers unlock the cage in desperation to distract Big U, but it was too late and the Grick got eaten as well.
In retrospect, it might have been cooler to have it still be caged up, and U entertaining himself feeding bits of the wagon driver to it to keep it alive. HE might claw open the cage lock in a fight with the PCs.
