I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
My gaming group completed the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil game a few weeks ago, and when I went to GenConUK a little after that, we saw a woman with a t-shirt saying "I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil" on the front, or something to that effect. I was wondering, has anyone else seen these shirts, and if so, where can I aquire some for my party?? If noone else has seen them, maybe I'll have to make my own.

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
Did this woman wear some glasses with really thick lenses? If so, I might have seen her at a German con last sunday (in fact, she was my DM there).
Small world.
The shirt actually reads "I killed in the Temple of Elemental Evil". I guess it´s for RPGA judges only or something like that.

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
It still sounds like a great idea to give to each of your players (assuming you can afford such a thing, otherwise have them join in on the cost). I'm sure there's an on-line store or even a local t-shirt shop that would happily print up a handful of custom shirts.
Anyone care to help design such an image so that we could share it? I think it'd be really cool to have the players meet..."Hey, where'd you get that shirt?"
Some ideas for slogans...
1. I took this shirt off Hedrack's cold, dead body.
2. I beat Imix!
3. I beat the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil
4. I died only X times in the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil
5. Blame Monte. (in much smaller case underneath: RttToEE)
6. I opened up a can of whoop-ass on the Doomdreamers.

You forgot...
7. My character survived the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, and all he brought back was this crummy T-shirt!

Or a shorter version: I Returned to the Temple of Elemental Evil (and all I found was this crummy t-shirt)

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
If someone were inclinded to do the artwork, there is an internet place that will do the rest:
www.cafepress.com/cp/info/
If we had a main artwork piece, I bet you could set up different slogans on multiple shirts.
Seems pretty cool, I'd like to give my players something for two years of dedication to this module.

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
I was going to suggest a cafepress stab as well. I'm no graphic artist though. Anyone who decides to take a stab should probably stay away from the adventure artwork without getting WotC's permission (or maybe through MC).
I really like this one:
5. Blame Monte. (in much smaller case underneath: RttToEE)
although maybe it's too much of an inside joke for us DM's We should keep it away from spoilers, I think (like mentioning NPCs).

I'll throw some ideas into the primordial soup of suggestions here:
I conquered Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil.
Pipe down or your demigod's next.
Air. Earth. Fire. Water.
-- Wimps.
I conquered Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil.
R.t.t.T.o.E.E. suggested translations:
* Really tried to totally outlast everyone else.
* Ropers, trolls, troglodytes, thoqquas, otyughs, & everything else.
* Rampage & Trash the Tar Outta Everything Evil
Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil.
Evil Never Dies.
But I Did And Everything Turned Out Fine.
Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil.
More tentacles than you can shake a stick at.
I conquered Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil.
Because Rufus and Burne are slackers.
I conquered Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil.
Once again, there's nothing to do in Hommlet.
Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil
Yesterday's setting, today's rules, tomorrow's legends.
Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil
431 Encounters
123 NPC's
16 Pages of maps
6 Near TPK's
2 Years of gaming
1 Helluva good time
If you guys like any of those, I'll see if I can't whip something together with some graphics for a cafepress type deal.

I think it is a great idea. I would be willing to buy 5 shirts to give to my players that just finished it.

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
Those last two are great, Thrommel!
It reminds me that just the other day I was considering writing down all the unique monsters to see what fraction of the MM is actually covered. Anyone done this?

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
Thrommel, once again you've proven why you are DA Man! I like them all, can't pick my favorite quite honestly.
"It reminds me that just the other day I was considering writing down all the unique monsters to see what fraction of the MM is actually covered. Anyone done this?"
Not quite. However, I am creating stat/initiative cards out of every NPC and monster used in RttToEE. I'm putting them 6/page and I will print them on 110 pound cardstock. I got this idea from my response to Monte when he asked what we would like to see different in other campaign-length modules. When I'm done, I'll post them on your site (they will be fully errata'd but will contain splat book/BoVD changes). The number of monster cards should equal the number of monsters used out of the MM, although at the moment it will only be for the CRM.

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
I'd go for the last two as well. Especially
Yesterday's setting
Today's rules
Tomorrow's legends
Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil
is very, very good. Someone at WotC (or their agency) oughta be saying "I wish I'd thought of that one", which in my experience is the highest praise you get when creating marketing material.

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
I've never done a Cafe Press, but what about putting one of those on the front (the short one) on the left breast and the longer one with the list on the back. The list can even end with "Blame Monte" after some space.

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
i would prefer the big version of "Yesterdays setting, ...." and on the back the list... would be a real "uniform" for all RttToEE- players
i would order 6 shirts, if we can finish this...

Re: I killed the Temple of Elemental Evil
I like the list as well, as long as we stay away any specific-campaign references. I mean, how many of us are going to have EXACTLY 6 near TPKs? And what about the peopl who actually HAD TPKs?
Actually, a though just occurred to me. There is no cost to set up a CafePress shop, there is no minimum on orders, and you can charge as little as you like as long as it pays for their cost on the product.
SO - we could get the design together and make it available, and then everyone could have specific shirts made for their group, with identical designs but specific numbers. I can see next GenCon: "You only had 3 near TPKs?! We had 12! I had 7 different characters all by myself!"
Ah, I remember those evenings, lingering over brandy at "Eat" . . .

hmm, i think the "6 near TPK`s" demonstrate the dangerous site of the campaign...so nothing campaign specific...

RttToEE Shirts
Hear, hear! There are some great ideas in this thread.
You can count on me for six shirts, if this goes ahead.

Would one of the mods perhaps consider a more descriptive title for this thread?

That's why I started the other thread. Any comments on that example image btw? It's okay to be honest, I can handle criticism. Even "that sucks" is okay.

Ahh, you mean this thread:

I'm still catching up on all the posts I missed during Gen Con.
The image looks good. However, I prefer Admiral Xzar's suggestion -- the witty tagline on the front (Yesterday's setting, Today's rules, Tomorrow's legends, Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil) and Thrommel's list (431 Encounters, 123 NPC's, 16 Pages of maps, 6 Near TPK's, 2 Years of gaming, 1 Helluva good time) on the back.

Re: RttToEE Shirts
I'll see if I can crank up some front and back images over the weekend here.
Anyone know of any other alternatives to cafepress.com?
For that matter, anyone know which font they used for the cover of RttToEE?
