Fire temple
So, my players are about to hit the fire temple. And by hit, I hope to mean, smack bloodily into the walls and floor.
There's a aasimar Cleric of Joramy (with the fire domain, of course).. And his halfling bard/rogue follower.
A templar of Joramy.
An elven Necromancer with a level of cleric (Wee Jas).
And a tiefling fighter rogue.

I've been having some fun with the aasimar tiefling thing, some of the more demonic denizens have recognized one or the other and have been dropping dire portents here and there... (The tiefling is one of the ones that ate the fruit..)

Aaaanyway, there've been a couple deaths, but no -real- challenges... In the cases where someone's died, it's something entirely random, like two crits in a row... And the rest of the party finishes the battle pretty much untouched.

Any ideas on how to put the fear into the party without going for a TPK? They spent the previous night in the dwarven hidey hole near the bebelith, although I suspect they won't be going back there, since that's where they lured the bebelith when the realized they couldn't hurt it, (and due to a circle of protection vs good, -it- couldn't hurt them)...

So they're -very- close to the fire temple, don't know it yet, but will figure it out soon. They'll also be passing the bridge very soon to find out that the distant thunder is a storm that involves rain falling up and bolts from the sky hitting the towers...
