You could add some underground tunnels connecting them to each other, but they'd more likely fly between them using the Spider Eaters than travel on foot. I'd recommend against adding any sort of passages into the Fanes: I doubt if their inhabitants would countenance something that circumvented the bridges and doors. The other thing about it is that a systematic assault on each of the towers would probably draw Hedrack's attention, and in force: the towers are a key part of their security set up, and he could interpret an attack on them as the beginnings of a full scale assault. I don't see him messing about with individual assassins and invisible stalkers in this case - I think he'd want to strike with overwhleming force before too big a gap develops in their air defences...
