Who goes to the gladiator games
My PCs have defeated the gargoyles. But they know that there is a scheduled gladiator fight the next day.
Who do you think would show up? And what route would they use to get there? What do you think the atmosphere would be like?
My thoughts:
This also occurs on the same day (once a month that the CRM is re-supplied via Spider Eater riders) from the Outer Fane. So, I am thinking this is going to be a big party after all the hard work of delivering the supplies and restocking. I also think that Temples may sponsor 'champions' to fight in the arena. Plus potential new recruits may be 'tested' in the arena. Some fights would be lethal (until -1 or the calling yield). Others may be subdual only.
So, we could see Spider Eater riders, new recruits who aren't aligned with a temple yet, cult members who are returning with supplies for the CRM our Outer Fane, groups of aligned warriors and a single 4th level priest.
They could arrive from the South Entrance and the Water Door.

Re: Who goes to the gladiator games
Would the fight even occur without the managing gargoyles present? Who would collect the money or pay the combatants (or force them to fight)?
If you have a plan to get around that, though (perhaps new arena manager are assigned...maybe the apes)...maybe you should have a couple of Outer Fane personnel show up, say Naquent and Varachan and a couple of elite ogres. Everyone else would bow and scrape and it would look REALLY odd if the players didn't as well. They might ask a new recruit who they are and the response would be, "I don't know, but if George bows, I bow! Sometimes it pays not to ask questions!"
One of the module's suggestions is to have a couple of temples to Big T in the surrounding country. Maybe a small contingent from one or another shows up each month...probably bringing a couple of recruits and/or supplies, or taking them away.
