Help with with Water Temple
I have a slight problem with the battle in area 195. What is the size of the sqaure platform suppposed to be? The shaded box describes it as being a 50 ft sqaure however the map (supported by the illustration) indicates a 25 ft sqaure. Which is correct? Also, what are the sizes of the 3 pools and the cube in the centre of the platform?

Another querry; are the bull stength and cat grace effects on the enhanced Skum in 194 already incorporated into the stat modifiers given?

I have to run this encounter tommorow so a quick answer would be appreciated. Thanks

I think you've forgotten that the map scale in the CRM is One Large Square = 20ft. The platform is indeed two and a half large squares wide, but this makes it 50ft, not 25ft. The interior artist also drew Tessmion with the wrong arm as Demonic... :)

By the same measure, the pools would be about 10ft in diameter and I'd say the cube should be a 10ft square - even though the map shows it as a rectangle.

The stats for the advanced skum in the module are wrong - there are correct ones (including the maximised bull's strength and cat's grace) in the errata thread about 3/4 of the way down the page...

Ah I see. I had always taken One Large Sqaure = 20 ft scale to mean that each large square indicated 20 square ft in which case each side of a large square would be 10 ft in length. Thanks for the clarification

[pedantic mode=math]
Sorry, certain nodes of my brain are screaming and I must make them stop ;)

Just for future reference, 20 sq ft area squares would have sides equal to the square root of 20 (about 4 and 1/2 feet). Squares with 10 feet on a side are 10*10 = 100 square feet. And if it ever comes into play, those large squares 20 ft on a side cover an area of 400 sq ft.

well my reasoning was that a 20 ft square would consist of 4 5 ft squares and thus a side would be ten ft but I see now where I went wrong
