Questions about the Champion
IMC, Lareth was killed by the party. At what point will the DD figure out that he is the Champion? When will they resurrect him? How will he react to being the Champion?

1) At what point will the DD figure out that he is the Champion?
I figure, around about when the PCs start making significant headway into the CRM...probably their second or third day on-site. Via the Tourbillion, a Word of Recall, and a Raise Dead, it will take Hedrack less than 24 hours to recover Lareth, restore him, and test him for Champion status.
2) When will they resurrect him?
I would say...immediately. My presumption is that Hedrack would memorize Word of Recall, Raise Dead, Locate Object, Locate Creature, and anything else he thinks would be useful, then borrow the use of the Tourbillion from the IF to get to Nulb (or take it to it's current setting, the Recovered Temple...it's a SHORT walk). Lareth's corpse gets dug up, WoRed back, and raised, all in fairly short order.
3) How will he react to being the Champion?
Hard to say. It's a given, by the module's terms, that he will first of all agree to be returned to life. Beyond that, it's largely up to you.
He's likely to be very bitter...after all, this is the second time he's died, and "the cause" hasn't exactly done him much mortal good. On the other hand, he might welcome the power and might that can be his...or he'll just revel in the idea of taking the whole world down with him "I've been dead before...now it's everyone else's turn!".

Well, I can't have him dug up. It's going to take a true resurrection, because they chopped him up and put his bones in a chest. They have his remains with them. Thanks for the response. I think you're right on with his reaction.

Have they met anyone who really, really bugged them? If they did, that critter might be the real Champion. It's a suggestion that has been made a lot here, but it bears repeating.
