Are they gonna die?
My party is rapidly approaching the End.
Human Cleric 13
Gnome Wizard 12
Half-elf Rogue 12
Assaimar Monk 11 (ECL 12)
Human Fighter/Rogue 12 (some level mix)
Elf Psion (Constructor) 12
They didn't go through the Inner Fane at all, which is largely why they're not quite at the right level. They've wiped the Recovered Temple clean, sans the Iron Golems and Senshock. They killed the Second really easily (Did anyone else think that he was a pushover for his CR?). Right now Laereth is in the Fire Node with Maliskra, Imix, and both the Slivery Orb and the Orb of Oblivion.
Logically, the DDs would make a break for it and try to bring Big T back right now, using just Imix. I wanted the final battle to consist of Imix (Either normal or semi-divine), Laereth, Maliskra, and Chymon (The players are scared to death of Chymon and are convinced she's CR 20 or some such.). However, I don't know how well this will work. They're a tough party, and will probably hose Laereth and Maliskra, but Chymon and Imix will eat them for breakfast, I think.
Is the best bet to wait until they kill the iron golems (which they're loathe to do because of the DR) and poke around the Fire Node some, or go with what would "actually" happen? Note that I don't think -anyone- will get to level 14, but some might get pulled up to level 13.

Sorry it looks like you are suffering from the dearth of DMs who have experienced this part and are still here. Hopefully Andorax or Siobharek will stop in...

Try to float some +3 weapons their way so they can damage Imix. Or hint at the usefulness of the Greater Magic Weapon spell

Excuse me? They are loath to kill Golems because of the DR? They fear the dragon is CR20? That sounds like meta gaming to me, as if their characters know things they shouldn't be able to know. Let them do knowledge skills for this sort of thing!
How often do they encounter these creature? Not a whole lot! Especially the Palladin should be eager to kick evil ass and fear nothing since his God is with him.
Amulet of Golembane (all) isnt even that expensive.

And so they should play their characters completely ignorant of these concerns, blithly ignoring valid in-character concerns about the nasty things they're facing (the Iron Golems are too tough for the swords to injure....the dragon is huge, mighty and terrifying). Note that the metagaming, if that's the case, is pretty poor...since in order for Chymon to be CR 20, she'd also have to be larger than she is...her size alone (not to mention her presence in a 4-14 module) says that she's not that nasty.
That aside, I wouldn't suggest going with what "ought" to happen...remember, the process (with only a 25% chance of success) destroys the Orb of Oblivion, so they're not going to try it unless they're CONVINCED that a 25% chance is better than they'll have vs. the PCs.
Withdraw the big, nasty guys back to the Inner Fane stronghold...withdraw Imix, Lareth and Maliskra back to the Fire Node...let the PCs come to them on defended ground.
Sooner or later, the PCs will either come to their dooms, or will give up and allow them to resume their plans. Centuries of work are coming to fruition...a little patience is in order.

They've already got a +3 greatsword and a +3 keen rapier (shelled out mulah for that one). However, they have not screwed with the golems since they got those weapons, so they don't know that they're probably good. And they're just scared of the big iron things.
Same for Chymon. She TPKed them 1.5 times, and they are just freaking scared of her. No, I doubt they think she's CR 20, but they think she's CR Big Enough.
Looks like some people here are very quick to think people are metagaming.
