Is it worth it?
Pretty simple question, Is this module worth the comitment of both time and money? My group has no real prefrences with regars to dungeon crawls, traps and role playing, will it suit them?

Re: Is it worth it?
That is an incredible difficult question to answer because we have no clue on what you or your players like. It is a combat heavy adventure, which can be adapted to a more role-play loving group with some work by the DM. If the the group prefers long role-play sessions and neither the DM nor the players* are able to provide it then this is not the adventure for you. If you as a group love combat with a role-play session now and then, then this scenario is definitely what you are looking for. If you love a good mix of both and lack the time to provide the role-play gaps then the Banewarrens might be a better choice. In fact, you might decide to run both (as I and Trithereon have done) as a mix (replacing the CRM with the Banewarrens). The two fit together remarkably well.

* The first group with which I played RttToEE had a strong love for role-playing, but they did not do the legwork themselves. They complained the scenario was all about combat, not realizing they always chose that approache. They never tried to disguise themselves, deal with the temples or capture prisoners alive to gain some vital information. When I pointed this out in answer to their complaints this changed, but it was a prime example of that players have a large influence on the amount of role-playing in adventure as well.

Is it worth it?
Hmm, that's a good question.
Do you have a reliable group? I mean are you sure your group is ready to play on a "regular" basis during several months?

I started with a new campaign about 1 year ago at a rate of 2 gaming sessions/month on sunday afternoon from 2pm till 7pm.
The party got from level 1 to 6 and they still have a long way to go.

Are you and your players ready for such a commitment?
You should know it better than anyone else.
I can only tell you it's a large adventure which is fun to play and master.

This forum makes it worth it. I don't know of any other adventure out there that's gotten this level of care and support.

For thirty dollars and a some time spent on the web, you've got a 24-hour brainstorming and support line populated with a bunch of talented DM's who are right there in the trenches with you.

Will your players like the game? That's a question only you can answer.

Is this module worth the time and money? Given the way it's been refined by the wonderful community here, that's an unqualified yes.

"Thrommel, a DM who cares - despite his CE alignment."
That can be fixed.

You get me my Fragarach back, and I'll consider taking a step toward CN.
