Stalwart eye mechanics?
I couldn´t find any information on this, so I am going to post it here:

How do you handle the stalwart eye?

Can everyone who knows the correct command word look through it´s eyes?

What happens if two people do it simultaneously? Do both see? Does only the first/the last who activated it see? Can there be a "contest of wills" if both activators try to turn the eye´s head in different directions at the same time?

This might get important in my next session, since the temple forces will discover the stalwart eye where the PCs have placed it and find out its command word.

There must be some conflict resolution. I'd recommend that the person activating the eye must have the eye in their possession. The eye then remains attuned to that person. If this is not the case, then you'd have to have some sort of limit on distance and the eye would be relatively useless in cities if the command word was relatively common.

The question then arises about whether or not you can command someone else's eye, and I'd say yes, but as above you need to hold it in your possession to command it (so you must find it first). This means of course that likely the current user will know who activates the eye. I think it would be cool for the final image to pop into the player's head of what the eye saw in its last 6 seconds under the player's control, even if the player wasn't concentrating on it.

Re: Stalwart eye mechanics?
I was thinking about using the following house rules for the stalwart eye:

The stalwart eye only functions when it is attuned to an owner. A new owner must possess the stalwart eye for an entire month in order for the item to be attuned to him/her only.

"Possession" is defined as being within three feet of the owner at all times - in a backpack, pouch belt, etc. worn by the owner is the easiest way to accomplish possession.

Once the stalwart eye is attuned to the owner, ownership can be maintained by merely touching the item at least once a week.

If the owner does not touch the stalwart eye for an entire week, then it no longer functions until someone once again possesses it for a month to become the owner.

The stalwart eye responds only to the command word of the owner.

A month is a really long time in D&D, though I suppose it's not as long in your case (you use training rules, right?). I would advise making it only a week if you want to attune it. Especially since this is really such a minor item.

A item that provides a clairvoyance spell at unlimited range can be pretty useful, especially for characters in the middle levels (5th through 9th) going through the CRM. You're right in that I do use training rules, so a month is no big deal IMC.
