Most Valuable Player Award (Art)
About a year ago I decided that I wanted to give an MVP award for my game. The choice was pretty clear. Peter, who plays Blix, wrote most all of the logs, role-plays consistently, brings a lot of enthusiasm to the game, and most importantly was the one unchanging member, as both player and character through the campaign. (Mooselips and the player of Leaf/Gimble dropped out for a while and have come back but Blix has been with us the whole time).
Peter is leaving Japan in mid-March, so although the campaign has not yet come to a close, it pushes the required timing of the reward forward as I want to present it to him while he is still here.
Here's what I decided to get him:
RttToEE equipment Blix's has obtained over the campaign is featured: Festrath's curved short sword +1, Zert's flaming short sword +1, Mereclar's eyes of the eagle, and Tippesh's slippers of spider climbing. Blix's signature +1 buckler of blinding is prominent but he commissioned that particular piece of equipment.
Here's the web site of the artist we selected: Nightserpent. We choose him as he is a close friend of one of the other players. I'm very happy with the job the he did -- we really didn't give him much information, just an equipment list, race and sex, and this was the result. I particularly like the pose of Blix hanging above the door. Amazingly the artist decided on his own to go with this when Blix hangs above doors all the time in game.
